"For the past seven years I've been working hard and trying to show the team the right direction," Virat tweeted. I have done my job with full honesty. However, all journeys have an end, and this is the right time for me to leave the Test captaincy. He added that he had seen many ups and downs during the trip. However, he did not give up. "I've always tried to pay 120 percent," Kohli wrote. He also thanked the BCCI, Shastri and Dhoni for stepping down as captain.
