Rohit Sharma done what Virat Kohli has not done in six years.

India won 3rd and final T20I against West Indies by 17 runs to end the series 3-0. In addition, India have won four consecutive halves, including ODIs and the T20Is. India came in first in the ICC rankings after winning the match, which came about six years later. For the past six years, Virat Kohli has not been ranked No. 1 in the ICC rankings. However, under Rohit's leadership, that is now possible.

Earlier, the Indian team, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, last ranked No. 1 in the ICC rankings in 2016. Before the start of the series, Team India had 268 ratings and India were second after England. But after winning the T20I by 17 runs, India have 269 rating after eliminating the series 3-0. Even though England had the same rating, Team India appears to be number one in terms of points.
