Train ticket service will start at the post office

Passengers can book tickets at Post Office. The new scheme is being launched by the IRCTC of the Indian Railways. Indian Railways is launching a new system for booking train tickets. The service will be available from tomorrow. People who want to travel by train can book advance train tickets from the nearest post office. With this facility, crowds at train station ticket counters can be reduced.

Union Minister for Railways and Telecommunications Ashwini Vaishnav will inaugurate the Railway Reservation scheme at 9147 post offices in Uttar Pradesh today. The facility will be available at all branch offices in all states from tomorrow. Rural postal workers can issue reservation tickets for train passengers. The train ticket booking procedure will be implemented in collaboration with the IRCTC. Rural postal workers like IRCTC-authorized agents can make tickets in remote villages.
