Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandavia tweeted:  "The country has received the ninth vaccine in the fight against Covid," he said.

The Sputnik V vaccine has already been approved for emergency use in the country. Single-dose 'Sputnik lights' are more effective than 2-dose Sputnik V. The company claims that Sputnik V is 91.6 per cent effective, while Sputnik Lights is 79.4 per cent effective.
