The situation in Ukraine in the Russian attack is getting worse by the day. All Indians living in the capital, Kiev, have been evacuated due to the current situation. This was stated in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Russian troops are targeting the capital, Kiev, and Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city.
"All our citizens have left Kiev," Foreign Secretary Harshavardhan Sringala said on Tuesday. According to the information we have, we no longer have citizens in Kiev. No one from there has ever contacted us. The Russian and Ukrainian ambassadors have been asked to provide immediate security to Indians stranded in Kharkiv and the crisis zone. 26 flights are scheduled for 3 days for the safe return of Indian nationals. Necessary advisories have been issued to all citizens. "Students and citizens of India have been told to leave Kiev this morning," he said.
In addition to Bucharest and Budapest, flights to India will be operated using airports in Poland and the Slovak Republic, Sringala said. He said an Air Force C-17 flight would fly to Romania from 4 a.m. on Wednesday to fetch Indians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron. He later discussed the situation with the Polish president and the prime minister.
